I’ve been blogging on and off since 2009, making reviews about makeup and skincare just for fun. Until 2012, I started to suffer from severe Atopic Dermatitis (AD) affecting parts of my face (particularly around the eye area), neck and sometimes my arms and legs. I still suffer from AD from time to time, but I’ve manage to be in remission more often through immunotherapy and stress management during flare ups . Since then, most products that I have used in my past blog does not suit my hypersensitive skin. My options on using makeup and skincare has become very limited, but as always, me being me, I just gotta have more choices and variety (in almost everything).
Starting Anew
I could have continued on with my old blog after I've come to know how to manage my AD (because this blog would still contain mostly of stuff "beauty" related than other miscellaneous things), but honestly, I wasn’t feelin’ it (My Alter Ego's Playground - old blog) anymore, especially after being MIA most of the time because of my skin ordeal. Many things has change since then which tamed my “product hoarding” dramatically (in my standards). I’m also getting older *ahem* I’d like to say I’ve grown up A LITTLE, finding myself investing more on important stuff instead of my wants. Don’t get me wrong, I'm a collector and enthusiast at heart. I still splurge and impulse buy every now and then (human nature, I guess), but my preferences and perspective on many things has changed. In short, I just became more picky...hahaha!
So, I've decided to start from scratch and just make a new blog instead of continuing my old one. I will still be blogging at my own pace and archiving mostly about makeup (I still love my lipsticks) and skincare products that have worked for me, given that I have this kind of skin condition, although I won't be too much detail oriented on some of my reviews like before. I just felt like it sucked the fun out the whole process of me just having fun writing WHATEVA in my blog.
I’m also going to throw in some very random posts about food, to odd misc. stuff in my blog every now and then to mix things up a little.
So, I just want to start fresh again and see how it goes from there. Blogging for me is supposed to be fun escape from my busy life, if I don’t enjoy this, why would I bother trying again?

Panda Eyes
Besides being sleep deprived from teen years (term paper/thesis phase) upto now (mama years), I literally have an obvious-than-usual permanent dark circles around my eyes due to AD (Atopic dermatitis). Since my dark circles has decided to be a permanent resident on my face (even with proper sleep), going on vacation once in a blue moon, my husband has fondly called me the girl with the Panda Eyes. I love pandas anyway, so I’m not gonna complain. Hahahaha!
For Reference:
= I have Atopic Dermatitis mostly triggered by air allergens, certain plant pollens and stress. To sum it up, I have hypersensitive, combination to dry atopic skin with very dry patches.
= Fortunately, I could eat almost anything without having allergic reactions.
= I’m prone to breakouts from light to moderate acne caused by hormonal imbalance.
= I prefer products that has no fragrance or coloring, but I could tolerate products with very light scents when I’m in remission.
= I have an olive undertone with a skintone/skincolor that goes from light medium to tan depending on how much sun exposure I get.
= Due to my skin condition, I ONLY wear makeup whenever I’M IN REMISSION, and even if I'm in remission, I only wear makeup occasionally.
= Through experience, I am a minimalist when it comes to skincare. My skin cannot tolerate too much skincare product in one go.
= Eventhough I still experiment in incorporating a new skincare product in my "normal" skin regimen once in a while, I only use my staple skincare products during flare ups.

My Foundation/BB Cream Shade:
***I love to mix foundations regardless of brand to suit my skin color, but I stick to foundations/bb creams that I have tried and tested through the years. I'm not sure if some of them are discontinued or not. These are:
= Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Stromboli (I can getaway with only using this most of the time if I'm not mixing foundations.)
= Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Cadiz
= Nars Firming Foundation in Cadiz
= Nars Firming Foundation in Siberia
=Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream #23
= Missha Cho Bo Yang BB Cream #23
= YSL Teint Radiance #6
= Dior Skin Nude #040
= Stila Illuminating Liquid Foundation 20 Watts
= Fresh Umbrian Clay Freshface Foundation SPF20 in Rio Samba
= Skinfood Mushroom BB Cream #23
***I still don't have a single MAC item in my stash YET, but guesstimating my MAC shade, I'd say I can go from NC 30-37.
